I think that God might find himself hard put to prove to LC that he was, in fact, the real thing. <G> If God did manage to convince LC of His reality, then I think that LC would take it in stride. After all the things he's seen in the course of his long existance, God would just be one more new experience to him. I also think that LC would then set about trying to overcome all of God's powers. <WEG> |

I think God would say *something* to LaCroix, and then LC would say: "Well, this is all very interesting. But I do have a club.... to open. <g> |

Hi Mr. Happy! I'm glad you're okay! I missed these questions. Wow, what a question. Well if God and Lacroix ever met, I believe our dear Lucien would be speechless for the first time in his looonnng life. However, it would prove to him that God does exist and validate Nick's struggle between good and evil. I have always believed Lacroix did possess a little bit of faith e.g in Ashes to Ashes, maybe in AMPH, Sons of Belial, and though he denies it also in Last Knight. |
Spamling
I seriously think Lacroix would have a mental short circuit. He'd blank out and wake up several days later in his own apartment (assuming he HAS one) wearing a fresh change of clothes and clutching a small teddy bear. He wouldn't remember the encounter, but every time somebody mentioned God after that, he would have an immediate and violent reaction. Either that or he'd have a complete mental hole. "God? Who's that? Somebody I should know? Does this have anything to do with that !@#$% teddy bear?" |

Ha!!! Ok... LaCroix would probably kick God's a$$ (or at least try). Either from anger (that God had taken so long to show himself) or from LaCroix's inability to consider the idea of someone or something being greater than himself. |

I think, despite all his protests to the contrary, Lacroix does believe in God. And were he to encounter God, I think Lacroix would be (1) humbled, first; (2) angry second; (3) curious, third. And if he said anything to God, it would be to ask if God created vampires, or if the devil created them, and why. |

It's good to have these questions back! I understand being busy at school, but it's nice to
have the questions... Oh, now let me think... what would Lucien do if he met God? I think that he would make it very hard for God to prove that he is in fact the almighty, and then I believe he would get angry. Lacroix has a very dark side, and there were times where he almost seemed as self-loathing as Nick. So I think that he would either act as completely uninterested as he possibly can and then talk about it in some dramatic monologue on the radio: or he might treat God as only he can- with anger. |

We've so much in common you and I. Perhaps we should compare notes! |

If God and LC met, the answer would be 42. :) ;) |

I think LaCroix would just laugh then give God an earful of Nightcrawler. I think God would be the one in shock. |

Mr. Happy! So glad to see the Q of the W back! In answer to the question, I'm not entirely sure that God would be speaking to LC. I wouldn't, were I in God's shoes. LC, of course, would immediately demand that God produce identification, undergo a sanity test, and then LC would insist on being directed to the Celestial Complaint Department. God would eventually have to send LC back to earth for another couple thousand years, just to get rid of him. |
The Nightcrawler
If Lacroix met God, I think he would be in awe at first. Then I believe he would test his power. Lacroix would be somewhat envious of someone with equal or greater power. After all he is the Nightcrawler... Glad to see u back Mr Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Michelle Bischof
Frederic, I don't believe it! A new question! *G* What would LaCroix say. Hmm. I get the feeling LaCroix might get a twinge of worry that since there *is* a God, Nicholas may be forgiven and taken away from him. As a result, LaCroix would probably do his very best to make it perfectly clear to God that Nicholas is *his*. Good to have you back, Frederic! |
Mary
I'm assuming LC isn't actually dead at this meeting? Once he was convinced that he really was
talking to God, LaCroix would demand an explanation. He would probably ask the same questions
he does in the series: "Are you sane?" "How can you create such perversity?" I doubt if there
is an answer that would satisfy him intellectually. Now the next question is, if God told him not only that Nick's quest is valid, but that he, LaCroix, is not hopelessly lost, what would LaCroix' reaction be? Initially, I suspect, rejection and a dramatic quote from Paradise Lost. But long term? |

Your guess is as good as mine. |

Ahhhhh!... Humility is so sweet to those who long to see it in others and so bitter to those forced to experience it. If Lacroix were to meet and be convinced of God's presence, then he would be confronted with the terrible fact that -- Well, that Nick is right and that he is wrong... Very, very wrong. |
Susan B.
Judging by Lacroix's reaction to crosses and holy water, I would have to say that Lacroix would instantaneously disintegrate. |
Teresa
I think that if LC ever met God that he would, at first, not believe it at all but after being convenced he would say some thing like: "Well, God, I hate to tell you this, but you have been doing it all wrong!" Then he would tell him about any errors that might have been made. |
Anita
I wouldn't love Lacroix so much if he showed no humanity, despite his protestations to the
contrary. Lacroix may not have been a praying vampire, but I'm sure God had tuned into his
Nightcrawler radio program, heard his humanity, and would take him in. Then, Lacroix would
probably tell God that He's in his seat. Anita (fellow survivor of the Ice Storm of the Century - 87 hours without electricity), Dixmont, Maine |

First off, Lacroix can never meet God because he would have to die and go to heaven for that to happen (Lacroix is a survivor and probably won't die - he survived the end of the show - and even if he did die he wouldn't go to heaven - he doesn't believe in it). Lacroix seems to be just about the wisest person/vampire in existence and GOD would probably ask Lacroix the questions. Lacroix knows all - after 2000 years of unlife he knows everything. |
MaryJane
They would probably both bitch about Nicholas!!! |
Iona
I think Lacroix would simply take it in his stride and be rather blasee about the whole thing and say something along the lines of "excuse me, but I'm rather busy at the moment. I really don't have time to talk." |
Tiffany
I think LaCroix would probably just laugh and joke around. He has a great sense of humor sometimes. :) |
Mildred G. Cady
"Oh, so you are real. Nice of you to let us know. But since you do appear to exist, it only
proves that you no longer care for the world you created, and that you messed up quite nicely
by creating humanity as you did." "By the way, I know someone who has some questions for you. He thinks he can get back into your 'grace' again. But I can tell you have none to give." |
Nancy J. Giese
Very interesting question on many levels. I think a lot would depend on LaCroix own abilities to comprehend whatever divinity is responsible for our universe - this would, of course hold true for any of us. I think a better question (as per another comment) would not be so much if God or the devil (not everyone believes in the devil), created vampires, but where do vampires fit in the scheme of things? Assume that LaCroix accepted this visitation as an aspect of the divine, I think that he would come away with not so much not wanting to be a vampire anymore, but a different take on how he as a vampire fit into society, both homo spanies and homo vampirensis. |
R. Andrus
So, you are.... God. How intriguing. And in that capacity, how can you explain my purpose in
the, shall we say, "Great scheme of things"? Can you in your infinite wisdom, tell me, one of
your sevants, I suppose, what place evil has in the world? It is something I would like to
know, and then I will tell you what I think its place is. Are we the, how does Anne Rice put it? The very canker in the heart of the rose, or are we merely the necessary minions of some cosmic joke you are playing on humanity? I wonder if you know, and wonder if you ever plan on telling anyone. Of course, if these questions disturb your omnipotent sensibilities, I can always rephrase them into something simpler. Language has never been a problem for me. Tact however, is another thing.... altogether. |
Roberta
Lacroix said it in an episode: "What kind of God it is that could permit such pain?" I think Lacroix believes in God's existence, but disdains him completely. |
