Question:
If you were to create your dream episode of FK,
what would it be and who would be in it?

My dream episode would be entitiled, "Knight Dancing" in which another vampire, Alex (guest star Rick Springfield aka the original Nick of "Nick Knight") falls in love with Natalie. It just so happens that Alex is one of the few vampires with which Nicholas is still friends with. (Alex also shares the desire not to dine off of human blood, but has no problems being a vampire) Natalie begins to have feelings for Alex and henceforth the classic love triangle is formed. Will Natalie and Alex become an item? Is Nicholas willing to lose Nat forever to his friend Alex? Hmmmm... makes one wonder.

I often think about how hard the third season opener hit me, what with the simultaneous loss of Schanke and Natsuko Ohama's captain. I'm also fascinated by the alternative guilt-worlds that the vampire may unknowingly create, as shown in "Curiouser and Curiouser." The mind creates its own truths, as anybody who's ever struggled to separate nightmare from waking reality knows. I've toyed several times with the idea of writing fanfic in which this very thing happens. So many options! Perhaps Nick awakens to find that the entire third season was a terrible dream (which would be feasible according to LaCroix's twisted explanation of guilt and denial in said episode, although probably too obvious for my tastes.) Or maybe Nick slips into that guilt world again after the presumed conclusion of the final episode, and in dying interacts with his lost friends and the ever-hopeful Natalie (heading towards salvation? damnation? a new series?) But then again, that might be too neat. I like a messy ending. It leaves room for possibilities. :)

I think my dream episode of FK would be to have Nick find mortality only to have him realize it is not what he thought it would be. Then the series could continue because he would have someone bring him back across. As an ironic twist the person who could bring him back across would be Janette. This could make Lacroix resentful of Janette. Also Natalie would feel betrayed by Nick and perhaps pursue another relationship which would make Nick jealous. Hey maybe I should write a story about this.

Sharon Bauman

As I've begun watching the reruns of FK on Sci-Fi channel, it reinforces my belief that this could have been a really good series if there had been a fourth [and fifth] season. So, I guess a "dream" episode for me would be one in which Nick wakes up to find he has only dreamed that Janette, Vachon and Urs had died.

He reconciles himself to the fact that he's a vampire and decides to get on with his "life" and continue doing good deeds. He and Janette resume their friendship and it blossoms into love again.

Vachon becomes interested in Natalie and she in him; LaCroix decides to reform - slightly - and be more of a mentor to Nick than a tormentor. Urs finds happiness. We get more meaningful flashbacks into every vampire's history; and there are a couple of new characters introduced - or re-introduced. In Dark Knight, the curator of the Egyptian exhibit was brought across [instead of killed off, as in the movie pilot with Rick Springfield], so she would be a good character to bring out. She could also provide a little conflict in the Nick/Janette relationship or the Vachon/Natalie one. Or be a love interest for LaCroix - he's been lonely too long.

My sister and I think that our dream episode is for Nick to become mortal and get together with Nat. Ok that is what we have to say By BY.

Julian Luna

I would create, something with a lot of flash backs of Rome, and Nick's mortal life, a old lover from LaCroix would come back and stir things up between him and Nick etc.

Beverly Turner

I really think we do this every time we create a piece of FANFIC, but here goes. My dream episode would have Schanke, Vachon and Screed alive. I really liked these characters. Because I love the Knight when he's dark I would want Nick to accept his dark side more (less angst). Then there's Uncle... I would like to see Nick and Uncle come to some sort of mutual friendship agreement.

Andrea Brannon

I think my dream episode of Forever Knight would be where Nick would finally accept his fate as a Vampire. He would realize that he must do what he needs in order to survive. This would cause a rift between him and Natile. Possibly causing them to part ways.

Another dream episode would be that at the end of Last Knight, Nick would have brought Nat across. Or it might have even been cool if Lacroix brought her across instead.

BEAVIS AND BUTTHEAD DO FOREVER KNIGHT!

Well, I'd like to see Nick and LaCroix, for one night, sit at home, and watch TV, saying stupid things.

Nick: Hey...uh....LaCroix...
LC: What! What is it Nicholas!
Nick: Uuuuh...this show sucks. Uh-huhuhuhhuhuhuh...
LC: Yeah! It Sucks!! Heh!! Heh! Heh!

LATER IN THE DAY....

Nick: I could really go for some chicks...
LC: Yeah! Yeah! Chicks chicks!!!!! YEYEYEYEYEYE!! Heheheheheh! Hey, Nicholas! What about Natalie??
Nick: Uuuuh.. Naah.. She's too PMS lately. Too hard to understand her. Uh-huhuhuh.
LC: Heh! Heheheheheheh!!!!
Nick: What is it LaCroix?
LC: You said "Hard". Hehehehehehehe!!!!
Nick: Uuuuuh.......yes I did. Uhuhuhuhuhuhuhuhuh.

Thank you!! Thank you!!!!!! <applause applause!!> ;-D

KnightByrd

It's nothing original, as I've seen it described many times, but my dream episode would be where Nick comes to his senses, accepts what he is, and returns to a father/son/companion relationship with LaCroix, though not necessarily to the kill. Nat comes to her senses too and graciously lets him go; and Vachon revives and creates a new family. (Although I wish TPTB would find a way to bring back Screed too.) Kind of a mixture of "Transitions" and "The Phoenix", I guess. I would also be great if Janette rejoined the group and the three were a family again.

Omega Man

A Braveheart-esque episode where, in the fifteenth century, Nick sides with the English in the Jacobite Rebellion and meets Duncan McLeod!

DMGDeMosr

If they can't bring Forever Knight back on its own, I'd like to see some of the show's characters pop up in a Highlander episode.

FOREVER IMMORTAL
Somewhere in Seacouver, there is a murderer.... A vampire (wish it could be Screed, poor chap, but possibly one of his spiritual cousins?) attacks Ritchie in an alley after a near fatal battle with a killer Immortal. He drains Ritchie's blood, and the youth dies.

When he revives, he's woefully disoriented. He stumbles through the streets to Mac's loft - people avoid him for some reason. Mac sees him from above and starts down for him - something's wrong.

No buzz.

Detective Knight arrives in the city as a consultant, since Seacouver hasn't had much luck with serial killers in the past.

Finding the department lacking in info, he takes to the street to see what he can dig up....

Screed clone flitting through alleys runs into Knight. In the midst of groveling, a wave of nausea overcomes the vampire, a massive headache like he hasn't suffered in hundreds of years. In the streets below, a cloaked figure passes by...

Back at the loft, Mac drags a weakened Ritchie into the office, and finds to his dismay that Ritchie is covered with cuts and bruises that aren't healing. Somehow, he has lost his Immortality.

Seeing that some of the wounds are life threatening, he takes him to the hospital. Which turns into reporting the attack, editting out references to Immortals, etc.

Knight comes to the hospital to speak to Ritchie. He looks over his wounds, and finds the vampire bite. Surprised, because this is not a vampire, and he's obviously not dead. He resolves to look up the Screed clone, but can't shake McCleod. They ride through the streets, passing alleys, when Duncan goes tense. He asks Knight to drop him off, which Nick does, grateful to be rid of McCleod.

Scree clone is digging through rubbage in a garbage bin, ferreting out his supper for the evening, when he hears, "I am Duncan McCleod of the Clan McCleod."

Screed clone barely escapes McCleod's blade, startling the Immortal by taking to the air! He flies about franticly, finally appearing at Nick's Caddy window, with tales of the black maned monster that tried to skewer him.

Remembering that the serial killer has a penchant for beheading his victims, Knight confronts McCleod, only to find the Immortal has questions of his own. Both stonewall each other, and Knight takes Mac downtown for questioning. Screed clone isn't as lucky with his next Immortal encounter. The killer, Gunther Kanske, beheads the helpless vampire. Knight shows up at the scene, and realiziing that the killer couldn't be McCleod, has him released.

McCleod visits Ritchie in the hospital. Unbeknownst to them, Knight overhears them discussing Ritchie's lost Immortality. At first, he finds it incredulous, then remembering what HE is, shrugs, and enters the room.

"McCleod, we need to talk."

They reveal their true natures, and join forces to track down Kanske. Kanske, meanwhile, shows up to the hospital, returning to finish what he started - taking Ritchie's head.

Ritchie escapes (it's hard for Immortals to battle in a crowd :), and retreats to the chapel, until McCleod returns. Kanske is waiting outside the hospital - McCleod challenges him (standard sword fight: DM wins)

Back at his loft, McCleod and Knight find Ritchie with a gun.

"A week ago, I was Immortal. Now I don't know what I am."

Knight tries to talk him out of shooting himself, because he has a chance to be normal. McCleod tells him that he should enjoy it while it lasts. In the end, Ritchie kills himself. He is still Immortal, to Duncan's relief.

Duncan escorts Knight to the airport. "You don't really need to take the plane, do you."

Knight smiles. "It's faster. I'd hate to be caught in the air at sunrise."

THE END

Well, that's what I'd like to see. My two favorite shows in one episode.

K-A

It would be a Nick jealous of a new guy in Natalie's life episode and Lacroix would totally TORTURE Nick. Of course, Nick would wake up in this episode and treat Natalie better. He would also become mortal and Natalie and Nick would live happiley ever after.

Chris Baxter

I think my dream episode would be a continuation of AtA where LaCroix continues his realization that what saved them is Nicholas' "resurgent goodness". And understands that he himself has been treating Nick as badly as Divia treated him, trying to coerce him to do and be something he finds horrible. Then he might be able to really appreciate Nick's graciousness and decency in saving his sorry unlife and getting them out of a danger LC had left them all unprepared for just to save himself embarrasment. Since this is my dream, LC would then decide to go off and meditate on this new concept for a few hundred years, and maybe find some new hobby. Without LC forever kicking the props out from under his self-esteem, Nick could recover some of his confidence, missing since the end of season I, and realize he has more to offer Natalie than death or life as a vampire when she falls apart in LK.

Of course this would require a full character transplant for LC, and end the dramatic point of the series as thououghly as the "Nick-forgiving-LC-and-becoming-a-happy-vampire buddy show scenario. I guess my really dream, dream episode would have to be Nick showing up a few minutes later in AtA, after Divia does in LaCroix, and dispatching her while she's gloating. This still leaves Nick free to recover his equalibrium, his quest for mortality, and his ability to hug Natalie and feed her chocolate till she recovers her senses. And it puts LC (as likeable or as mean and manipulative as we want him to be) back in the flashbacks, where IMHO he belongs.

This really works for me. Nick can be angry and angsty about not showing up in time to save LC (and just when they were beginning to get along), Nat can go back to being funny and self-confident if LaCroix is't blocking every possible avenue of hope, and we can see all sorts of terrific flashbacks of jolly days with LC. Sorry about Vachon though.

Judy Morse

My dream episode would have to "correct" all of the deaths that occured at the end of the third season, bringing back all of the characters who came to a premature end. I can think of several methods to "logically" reverse the deaths of Vachon, Screed, and Urs. And since my personal interpretation of the ending of "Last Knight" doesn't include Nat dying (or being brought across) or Nick being staked by Lacroix, there are no deaths to rectify there! There is so much ground that could be covered, delving into the backgrounds of the new characters. Vachon's background alone could fill at least one whole season! I've been watching the SciFi Channel's broadcasts of the first season, and I am falling in love with the series all over again. Thank you, thank you, thank you SciFi!

Richard Manly

How about a holiday episode? It's Christmas at the Raven. Nick is on the trail of a killer who leaves his victims with a holly stick through their hearts. Natalie's autopsies reveal a shopping code on each of the sticks, leading Nick to a department store Santa who's just had enough, that's all. Nick wraps up the crime by mid-show, leaving the rest of the cast to gather around the Christmas tree and sing carols. Imagine LaCroix telling Natalie to "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas."

Watcher

My dream ep would be a cross between DMGDeMosr's and Chris Baxter's ideas. LC doesn't necessarily have to die (though it would make some sense), but Nick should get more independent and decisive. Two kinds of immortals together would be also cool to see (but I am not sure those two show have to be reduced to one - they are different in tone of voice, too).

Sarah

My dream episode would paint the 3rd season the nightmare it really was and have Jeanette and Schanke asking Nick, "why are you looking at me as if you've seen a ghost?". Lacroix needs a love interest of some type & Nick needs to take his relationship with Nat to a deeper, more 'sharing' level- perhaps bring her across for a few episodes and let her experience those hungers, feelings and emotions she has tried to cure Nick of for so long! My true dream episode would be a 30-second commercial stating "FK IS BACK!!"

Jessica Roop

My dream episode of FK would be Last Knight, without all of the BAD things that happened (which, I suppose would reduce the episode to about 5 minutes), and just focus on Nick and Nat, and their love. (But, of course, she wouldn't die.)
