1194- King Richard returns from the crusades- to find England in an uproar, Prince John raising the barons against him, the sheriffs raiding his treasury, Robin Hood and his men robbing the rich and giving to the poor (and partying their a***s off in Sherwood Forest). As for our heroes- Nick has joined the merry men, believing he's "doing the right thing", Janette has stolen Robin from Marian, changing history and raising up the jealousy of both Nick and Marian, and our esteemed uncle is having a hard time deciding what to do- help John by draining the king, assist the sheriffs by tormenting the peasants, latch on to Marian and whammy her for awhile, or what he always does so well- yank on Nick's chain for the ? time! The last is what we expect, but why not let him go for it ALL this time? (No room for present day cop case in this ep, but with the possibilities this scenario raises, who cares?) |

Kewl question! I think I'd like to see Nick during the Haitian revolution (1791). It was right after the French Revolution and I could see LaCroix, Janette and Nick running off to Haiti (or San Dominque back then) if things got too nuts in Paris. I'd love to see his experiences with Voodoo. Despite it's formerly bad reputation, the practioners have gained some respect from other religions in the last few years. I have to admit, I'm writing some fanfic where there are flashbacks to this time period. Unfortunately this was before I saw a TV special on Voodoo a few months ago. I'm going to have to redo alot of things b/c of what I've learned about it. Since Nick tried chinese herbal cures, I'm sure he would be open to any cures that a voodoo priest or priestess might come up with. Plus I have to admit, I love the drums they use in their ceremony. It would be interesting to see what Fred Mollin would do to integrate them into the soundtrack... |

Actually, I wouldn't mind seeing Nick with that deaf musician friend of his. What was his name... Beethoven? :-}= Then we'd get to see if Nick really did compose a piece Beethoven got credit for and Nat would be giving him that "spare me" look. :-) |

Long question, long answer. You remember in the series opener, where Nick is talking to Jeanette and says he's been in town "3 years"? I'd like to see that "era" of his life three years prior, which we can safely assume is the last time he saw LaCroix before LC shows up in Toronto. I'd like to know what their last conversation was like and what terms they parted under (hostile, as usual, I'm sure; but I'm going for the details.) |

How about the War of 1812? Nick and LaCroix could be part of Jean Lafitte's pirates. (But Nick might be too honest. Oh well, put him in Andrew Jackson army) Jean Lafitte joined Andrew Jackson to stay off over 12000 seasoned British fighters in the Battle of New Orleans. They (the British) lost approximately 3000, and we only had a little over 2000 to fight them. |

Well my answer is quite short. Nick and the JFK assasination! Or another personal favorite Lincoln's bullet at Ford's theatre where a bullet passes thru Nick and into Lincoln!!! What do you think? |
Cousin Christine
I don't know if this has been done, if it has I haven't seen it so.... I would like to see him working with Thomas Edison or Mr. Swan trying to make the incandescent light. It would seem 'Nickish' to try and make a pseudo sun, and it would appeal to his intellectual side. |

I would love to see Nick in Shakespeare's time. I think a cool scenario would be for Shakespeare to find out that Nick is a vampire. This is how he could have gotten the idea for the play Macbeth which is full of blood imagery. |
Adamant Phoenix
Let's see, how about Nick in the early 18th century helping a certain Immortal Highlander fight on the side of Bonny Prince Charlie. We all know how Nick is with what is perceived as a just cause. Who knows maybe he and LaCroix had a real feast after the battles. Three really good looking guys in the same place at the same time? I think this may be more plausible as a dream episode. |

I'd like to see Nick (and Lacroix) during Napoleon's being emperor (what do you say? Emperorship?), During the Russian Campaing would be pretty cool (that was Napoleon's undoing, he tried to take over Russia, but the winter came and about 490,000 of his 500,000 troops died). Maybe Lacroix could even be the one to convince Napoleon to go. He's always meddling around, and that sounds like something Lacroix would do. It'd set up (yet another) fight between Lacroix and Nick. |
SField
I would like to have seen him during the french revolution. He would have been the inspiration for a tale of two cities! The other guy would have taken his place at the guillotine!!........ Also, during tuder England! Perhaps as one of the lovers of Anne Bolyn, and maybe responsible for getting her beheaded!! |
Ken Kapoor
I would LOVE to see Nick and company in Hawaii in the 18th Century. Maybe they
could chat with Kamehameha, and LaCroix could give a few pointers in war. Hey, we could even see Nickie-boy surf!! A surfing vampire! Now THERE'S a story! Or even LaCroix! Or... Janette in a swim suit!! <pant pant> Hmm... did they have swim trunks back then? |
Jenny
I don't remember if this has been depicted before. I haven't seen it, or don't remember it w/ Nick, if it has. I've always been partial to vampires in the old west. I remember seeing one w/ Billy the Kid, I think. Coulda been Jesse James, but don't think so. It was real campy, but I liked it. Would be fun if Vachon were there also!! Think I *did* see Vachon in the old west tho. Was that when he met Urs? |
Beverly Turner
On 9 September 1513 The Scots met the English at Flodden field. There were french troops there as the Auld Aliance had been renewed the year before. This was the begining of a bloody war with England. I would love to see Nick fighting for or advising James IV. |

Newcastle united beating manchester united 5-0 today. But really... Woodstock. HE metioned it once, but it was never really shown (I think there was a parallel or something). |

What a great challenge! There are so many of history's mysteries to choose
from. Here's a couple of ideas: the controversy of Richard III and the princess
in the Tower. Will Shakespeare, under the patronage of the Tudors, painted
Dickon to be the bad guy; but history may prove otherwise. Does Nick (or LC)
know the real answer as to who murdered the two princes? Secondly, there's the mystery of Ludwig II of Bavaria who (along with his shrink) died under mysterious circumstances in 1886. They were found drowned in shallow water at the edge of a lake. Looking forward to some great episodes in the fourth season!!! |
Diana Lioncourt
I would like to see Nick at the Battle of Waterloo. Directly prior to the battle, the Duchess of Richmond threw a massive party at her townhouse in Brussels for all of the English officers and families. During the party, intellience comes in that Napoleon has amassed forces at Waterloo. All the men leave the party (some in evening wear) to fight. It would be cool if Nick fought for the English in formal wear... it would be a feast on the battlefield with all the dying soldiers! |
Cousine Helene
I would have to say: 1881, Paris (i.e. The Phantom of the Opera) I've always thought that Erik (that's the Phantom) was a vampyre b/c of his habits and obsessive love for Christine. Nick and Erik could have some great conversations together... |

Ooh, now we're getting into difficult questions - it's hard to remember all the
flashbacks/time periods Nick was part of. I don't remember if we've seen him
during the Civil War. Otherwise, the Irish potato famine would be interesting;
1 million people dying. Nick could be the humanitarian, while LaCroix could
point out the evils humans perpetrate on each other [such as the English not
caring what happened to the Irish and the control over the maize sent by the
United States that was supposed to go to feed the starving Irish peasants.
Would make for very interesting social comentary and could be relevant to today
[not the Irish/British struggle; the hunger in this world]. Some point in the Scottish history would be good, too. But I'm not a historian, so I can't think of a particular time period. I've always thought that a good storyline would be to combine Forever Knight with The Highlander concepts. Nick meets a female immortale; they fall in love. He can feed off her without worrying about botching it, because if he kills her, she just comes back to life again! Perfect couple -- they both live for eons! |

English Civil War : 1642 - 1649 To fight at the side of Owain Glyn Dwr - 15th century champion of wales ( perfect part for Geraint ). |

I could see Nick (and Janette...) in the 1920's. Because this is my first season and I probably missed a lot, I believe they probably already covered that era. Anyway, that is my opinion. Thanks! |
Carolyn Alutius
Okay, I've been pondering this one and have several thoughts. Not so much time periods, but people. 1. I would love to see Nick in late 1800's England meeting up with Bram Stoker. 2. Shakespeare anything, maybe LaCroix could give Willie some good lines (The prince of darkness is a gentleman). I'd also like to have seen more of LaCroix in ancient times. |
Rae T. Plachecki
I would like to see where Nick was during the Holocaust. Was he ever in the presence of Hitler? Did he help hide people or help people escape? I think it would be interesting where he would fit in. |

The 60's Nick as a Hippy. HA, HA |

Nick would be right at home in Hollywood in the 1930s. Tell me a creature who
lives on human blood wouldn't find a home working for the likes of Harry Cohn,
Louis B. Mayer and the Warners! Nick Knight ought to return in an episode set in the 21st century to reassure fans that he survived impalement by his best friend and continues his search for mortality. |
Nicole Nelson-Hicks
I would like to see an era where Nick and Lacroix were at least friendly with
one another. C'mon... there had to be a time when Nick was enjoying
immortality... As for a particular time... how about the sixties? Can you imagine Nick sporting a Beatle haircut and Lacroix in a Mao jacket? |
LB Burstiner
Someone already mentioned the Hollywood boom of the 1930s, which I think Nick
would have really loved; the idea of creating stories that people watched in
the dark. He had been an actor during some part of his life, so I think he
would really get into the magic of Hollywood. For humor, I would like to see Nick during the seventies disco era. He must have been an accomplished ballroom dancer, so I'd like to see him in a John Travolta-style leisure suit showing Denny Terrio the moves! |
Kristina Carabetta
The Mexican dig in the Mayan ruins as shown in the pilot episode. Or, scenes from the actual crusades that he went on as a mortal human. Or, during King Edward the III's reign. |
Annie Anastasi
Good question... the 70's-Nick in polyester bell bottons, and LaCroix in a blue leisure suit--it could happen :~) Or even in the 80's, like what he was doing directly before his years in Toronto (Chicago for real?) |

I don't know if it has been seen in a flashback or not, but what if -- the
Kennedy assasination -- what if Nick, Janette and LaCroix were there or in New
Orleans prior to it while Oswald was there. What if Nick had knowledge about it
because of his vampire gifts or what if he was one of the cops better yet, an
FBI agent. Just wondering -- you asked. |
Marie
Geeze... what's with *this* question? I thought that the 'favorite scene' question was hard! Well... maybe Nick helping the slaves escape from the south. If that has already been seen, sorry. I've only seen 3rd season. |
Nyx Fixx
What a wonderful question! Hmm... my preferences usually run to BC eras, but, I
suppose we must stay within Nick's lifetime? The conquest of Aztec Mexico, Cortez vs. Montezuma, Western Europeans vs. Mezo-American Indians, the fall of Tenochititlan: Nick thinks he can escape LaCroix by journeying to the New World, and becomes an accepted member of Montezuma's court, mainly because he's the only white man the Indians have ever seen who's actually bothered to learn the Aztec language. Plus, they have more lenient ideas about entities that live on blood than European Christians do, and are happy to provide Nick with whatever he needs. While Nick is happily engaged in translating of some of the Aztec's sacred texts into French, and living in a culture that accepts him completely, who should show up but LaCroix, who is readily inducted into the priesthood of Tezcatlipoca (he has a real flair for human sacrifice, and can tear the hearts out of the offerings w/o even resorting to a stone knife). Nick and Uncle are about to resume their usual titanic battle of wills, but soon find they must join forces to fight Cortez' invading force. The Spaniards have as little regard for vampires as they do for the Aztecs. Alas, the defense of Mexico is doomed, and Nick and LaCroix narrowly escape with their skins intact. The modern day descendents of the Aztecs have forgotten LaCroix' stay among their ancestors completely, but Nick, who was a much better guest, has left the legend of Quetzalcoatl behind. That is, the story of a golden haired, light skinned, blood-drinking god that came out of the sea to the west just before the end of Aztec civilization, and may someday come again. If brevity is the soul of wit, I guess the above means I'm witless. My apologies. |
