Question:
What is your favorite Forever Knight scene?

-------

Beverly Turner

This question is the most difficult one to answer yet. I love all scenes on the show, I just can't get enough. If I have to pick one it would be in Ashes to Ashes when Lacroix is being thrown around the Raven by his little girl. I loved it when he said to her that if she killed him his suffering would be over. I had to look again to see if that was Nick talking.

The scene that most touched the warm place in my heart was at the end in Last Knight though. When Nick tell Lacroix that he is his best friend. I felt as if the stake had gone into my heart at that point.

Aiza Rusli

Mine is definetely the one where LC gets all beaten up by Divia in AtA! After all, it's not every episode you see big bad LaCroix get banged around ;o) *Ducking and running from the hordes of angry cousins!*

Casey Carpenter

I'd have to say my favorite scene is from Only the Lonely. Nick is in Nat's appartment after beeping her and then tries to give Roger the impression that something is going on between them. Then there is the little arguement they have in the kitchen. One of the best scenes I can remember.

Michael

So far my favorite scene is the Spanish Inquisition scene when the mortal that Nick saved came back and saved them.

Lisa McDavid

If I have to choose just one, it would be the one in Only The Lonely where Nat returns home with Roger, to find that Nick has broken in because he's worried about her.

Especially since I've always thought, from Nat's blurred motion behind the screen and the sudden yelp from Nick, that she finally smacked him.

Reva

Good question. Well since I have seen half of the second season and all of the third, I will have to base my answer on them. My all-time favourite scene from Forever Knight has to be from Night in Question. It is the scene in which an amnesniac Nick returns from the warehouse and is burnt by the sun. He stumbles into the loft and screams "Did you know this would happen?" I just thought this was a perfect scene because it reflects Nick's eternal identity conflict and Natalie's love for him.

A close second would have to be Lacroix's monologue from Fever about his people. It was very emotional. There are just so many scenes to choose from in all the episodes. I also like the scene in Games Vampires Play when Lacroix is happy about the game's effect on Nick.

Of course a special mention must be made of Last Knight. Even though many people may have disagreed about the outcome, I feel it is a tour de force of acting, directing and writing. How many other shows are so intelligent?

I think that every episode contains a scene that speaks to people which is why this show is so beloved.

Ken Filbert

I liked the look in Inca's eyes in Black Buddha #2 where he finds out that not only is he doing battle with a vampire (Nick) but one twice his age!

Ann Mitchell

This is easy! My all-time favorite 'Partners o/t Month!! The breakfast scene between Nick and Schanke, 'No eat? No eat'. That whole episode was wonderful, writing, directing and acting. And that scene, the look on Nick's face, was priceless.

Sharon Bauman

This is a really difficult question. There are so many scenes I loved. I don't remember the episode name, offhand, but one that sticks out in my mind is the closing scene where Nick needs human blood and Janette is there for him. OK, so it's not exactly "human" blood, but you get the idea. There was a sense of "I know why you need it and I understand." Many of the scenes I enjoyed were interactions between Nick and Janette.

I also enjoyed many scenes between LaCroix and Nick. Ashes to Ashes had several, where you could almost feel the bond between the two vampires. In Sons of Belial, the excorcism scenes where LaCroix has to help Nick were great. LaCroix, who has no faith, almost betrays himself to save Nick.

Some of the scenes between Tracy and Vachon were good, too. His death scene in AtA was touching. I probably should have looked at this question, gone back and watched my tapes of all the shows, and then answered. I could be much more specific that way. Maybe my lack of specificity indicates a caliber of writing that indicates what a good show FK was!

Andrea Brannon

In Last Knight when Nick finally bit Nat.

Arletta Asbury

This question is very hard..... but I think it would be the tag scene of Ashes to Ashes.

I think it's because that scene shows how much love Nick has for Lacroix and how Lacroix *does* respect Nick.

It shows a complete turnabout from the attitudes the characters had toward each other in the first episode of the series, Dark Knight.

It also shows a very 'human' Lacroix carrying on in the face of devastating events.

Kathleen DeLander

For me, it would have to be the restaurant scene in "The Fix", where he and Schanke are questioning a mob boss, and he helps himself to the guy's dinner, barely leaving anything left. The looks that Schanke and the mob boss gave him were incredulous!

Hey, he hadn't eaten much for a few hundred years, so he's entitled.

Marie

Wow... My FAVORITE episode??? That's a really tough one. I liked the one when Janette had come back and was in the loft, I liked the one when Nat said that Nick would have to live her as much she loved him, the one when Javier said cars were sexier w/fins, the 'Cause I can' scene was cute too, & who could forget the scene in AtA when Uncle gets thrown around by Divia, I mean it's not every episode you see him get thrown around and beat up, he's usually the one who does that. Another favorite would be most of the times when Nick was his vampire self and when he was possesed was great acting. But the best, or closest to the best, would have to be when Nick was confused while Nat and LaCroix talked, not too nicely, to each other about Nick in 'Night in Question', the looks on his face were classics. (I have to see the infamous oatmeal scene and see what rating I give that.) (I've only seen 3rd season.) So those are most of my favorite scenes, for now, that is. Oh, well, I'll have to wait and see.

Lane Lombardia

My answer would have to be from the late second season ep (title escapes me) where Schanke has begun to realize Nick's true nature. The scene is towards the end of the episode, and Schanke has just asked LaCroix if Nick is a vampire. I found the way that LaCroix skillfully and gently reassured Schanke to be nothing short of magnificent. I loved the interplay between these two characters, and I found the performances of John Kapelos and Nigel Bennet literally drove me to tears.

Tina Moreschi

My all-time favorite scene is actually in two parts, but they're both in By My Valentine. The first one is when Nat and Nick are in her apartment and they are standing behind the couch and Nick tells Nat that he cares for her and they start to kiss, ooooohhhh weeee. I loved that one. Then, the second part is when LaCroix and Nat are in the restaurant and LaCroix is going to kill Nat, and Nick steps in, vamps out, and pretends that he doesn't really love Nat, and would actually kill her just to prove it, and after LaCroix leaves, Nick returns to normal (sic) and caresses Nat's face. That was the most tender scene they've ever had.

Another good Nat and Nick scene was in Night of Question when Nick starts kissing Nat and says that they have something between them don't they, since he can't really remember.

A good scene of Nick going totally crazy in the episode Sons of Belial when he is totally vamped out and is all over a female vampire at the Raven, when LaCroix steps in, all happy because Nick is acting more like a true vampire.

So many, many good scenes, including (although I hated the outcome) of the entire episode of Last Knight and I, too, loved the episode where Nick could eat and he and Schanke go to the restaurant to visit a mob boss and Nick asks the guy, do you mind if I taste your spaghetti and then manages to eat the whole plate. That was so hilarious. And then Nick and Schanke are walking on the sidewalk and Nick stops at a hot dog cart and starts pigging out on hot dogs. All in all, a very humorous episode.

So, as you can see, I don't really have a favorite scene, but who can narrow it down to just one scene with a great show like FK?

Amanda

The snarling scene from Sons of Belial was hilarious. That's probably one of my favorites, because you know they had to have had a blast doing it.

Cousin Kimberly

Any scene with LaCroix in it.

Ken Sander

The scene in Ashes to Ashes where LaCroix is in jail and when Nick goes to see him, the other inmates are all on the other side of the cell. LaCroix quips, "I appear to have a future as a sobering influence on the disenfranchised." LOL, what a great line. Of course, any scene with LaCroix at his most sarcastic is great. By the way, if anyone has a WAV file of the line I quoted, PLEASE let me know! I want one!

KnightByrd

There are so many, it's hard to pick just one; but one that I think of first is from "Queen of Harps" where Nick has paid the suspect's bond because he knows she's innocent and then she tells him "There's a reason for everythinng. There's a reason for you too." If only our poor Nicholas had listened to her, maybe he would have realized that perhaps he's *supposed* to be a vampire for some greater purpose and stop spending so much time feeling sorry for himself.

Lisa Burstiner

I love this question! There were so many wonderful scenes that it's hard to pick out just one, but one of my all-time favorites is the last scene in Dying for Fame. Nick has fantasizes about watching a video where Rebecca, rather than turning away from him as he feels most of humankind does, walks toward him smiling. Nick raises his fist in the air in triumph and spins around. The way that scene was filmed expressed all the hope that Nick has kept inside for eight centuries. I think it is the only time we see that kind of reaction in Nick, and it was one of the most uplifting, feel-good moments of the series.

Susan Fields

It's a toss up between the spagetti eating scene in "The Fix", and the scene in "Fathers Day" when Lacroix confronts Nicholas in the ally and asks him where he's been!

Jessica Roop

My favorite scene... hmm... there's definitely too many of them! :) Hmm... I guess my favorite would have to be the ending scene of "False Witnesses" when Nat is crying about the movie she & Nick watched, and when Nick bares his fangs to her & she starts throwing popcorn at him.

Mary Young

Well let me think. My favourite scene would have to be umm... uh... just a minute... do di do... Im getting there...

Yeh I have decided it has to be when Janette grabs that guys are in AFWTD and say "I am NOT Honey!!!!" That gets me every time!!!

Nicole

I've only seen the third season so my experience is limited. But the scene that came directly to my mind was Ashes to Ashes with dear Divia and Lacroix smashing up the Raven. It just gave such new depth to Lacroix's character. And explained a few things too.

Melinda

Ashes to Ashes, that was a good one! The reason being is that I liked Divia! The child did not hold back! She was a total B&%*%! And I can respect that in a person.

Adamant Phoenix

My favourite scene? Hmmmmmm... there's so many to chose.

I think one of them would be when LaCroix's in the Raven getting beat up by Divia -- Oh how the mighty has fallen (Going into hiding for a while to get away from angry Cousins)

Curse this soft heart of mine, but I think some of the best was from AtA when Vachon dies (so sad) in Tracy's arms and she just cries for him. Another from AtA is in the end when Nick and LaCroix seem as if they actually made their peace and is ready to accept the other. From LK (I know it never happened) when Nick says that LaCroix is his oldest friend (How heart warming).

And one of my all time favs is from Close Call when Schanke confronts LaCroix in the broadcasting booth of CERK.

Wendy Lee

Without a doubt, the scene in BMV when Nick vamps out and tries to convince LaCroix that he cares nothing for Natalie. He walks a very thin line between lust and desire, and knows that Nat's life is in danger. One of the hottest scenes I've seen!!

Carolyn Alutius

This is a tough one. I'm going to go with the fantasy scenes from Stranger than Fiction where each character fantasises themself in the story. My favourite of those was Schanke being LaCroix with the over the top fangs and a fairly good imitation of LaCroix's sinister whispering.

DigitalEden

Excluding the 3rd season due to English TV Stations never buying last series... Probably the bit in Partners of the Month where Nick and Schanke have the last arguement about Inuit Aboriginals and where Nick is trying to be upper class and Schanke is feigning ignorence. They are great argueing in the whole episode. Also, where Nat say's "So what's an egg." (about his age) I would have killed Schanke if he made me bacon and talked of killing little piggys.

(Editor's note: a video clip of that scene is available on the Computer Stuff page)

Sarah Corlett

In the episode where Divia comes to kill everyone near LaCroix: the scene at the end where she tries to kill him and Nick saves him.

Sue Schneider

When LaCroix has been 'staked' on the battlefield and asks for Nicholas' help. He says 'You really do like me... you just don't know that you do'

Ann Raper

My favorite scene would *have* to be from AtA:

"Clearly I have a future as a sobering influence on the disenfranchised."

I LOVE IT!!!

Cousin Sarah

Instead of repeating scenes others already have - I'll just say..... UNCLE!!! (Who will second the motion?)

Michaela Nastasia

I can't remember which episode it was where someone has killed Lacroix and nothing is as it should be (Stranger than Fiction?). My favorite scenes are the twisted ones of Lacroix doing his monologue. He was standing on a checkered floor in a white suite. The scene was shot with a fish eye lense and the colors are so intense! Nigel was amazing and the scene was beautifully shot!

Ellen Tracy

Like everyone else, there are just so-o-o-o many to choose from, but if I have to, they would be the Janette/Nick seduction scenes in "Dance By The Light Of The Moon", Nick giving the pocketwatch back to LaCroix and LaCroix's response over the radio in "Father's Day", almost every scene in "The Fix" (especially when Nick was going through withdrawal and when LaCroix visits him at the loft and steps into the sunlight with Nick), pretty well most of "Night in Question" (especially the dialogue between Nick and LaCroix before Nick pulls the stake out of LaCroix) and ALL of "Ashes to Ashes".

K-A

There is sooo many, this is going to be soooo hard. I guess I'd have to say, the one where Natalie and Nick are at the Police station and are arguing, during the My boyfriend is a Vampire episode. I love that scence and can never watch it just once.

Ken Kapoor

Favorite scene? Easy! WHEN TRACY GOT SHOT!!! Man, I could watch that over and over!!! ;)

Sheila A. Coneybeer

Well, being a Vaquera, guess who is the center of my favorite scene? Could it be Vachon? I can't help it, but I love the car scene in Black Budda when Tracy and Vachon first 'meet'. Cracks me up everytime I even think about it, 'Screamin' fine ride'. And the look on his face when Tracy can't be controlled -- PRICELESS!!! I also like the scene in HOD where Vachon is sitting on the stairs waiting, at Nick's order, for the paramedics to come for Tracy. He looked so chastened, like a puppy who had displeased. I also liked all of LaCroix's monologues.

Juliette

I belive the episode was Human Factor, the scene where Nick is fantasizing that he and Nat are trying Janette's cure, and she comes to him and says "we're going to have a baby" or something like that. The look on Nick's face, so trusting and amazed and loving, just melts my heart because it's so sad that it can't really happen. (especially after LK - sob!)

Eric McCann

Hmmmmmmmm. Right offhand, I'd say seeing Nat's reaction to Nick describing why drinking blood is such a "hard habit to break" in Francesca. I'll have to watch all three seasons again and get back to you to be sure, though.

Amanda Sullivan

Hummm... Some of my favs have already been mentioned. One scene that is a paticular favorite of mine that I don't think has been mentioned would be in Let No Man Tear Assunder. I love the part where Nat "accidently" hits Nick in the face with the flowers and when he goes to kiss her and she ducks under his arm.

Oh yeah and in Jane Doe the scene where Tracy is sitting on the floor ill from helping with the autopsy. Nat gives her the oxygen and Tracy comes up with a good idea. Nat says something like, "Have another hit. I think its helping." ROTF.

Katherine

This response is weird for me because I'm not a Vaquera, nor a Ratpacker. I love the scene in Fever where Vachon feeds the dying Screed :( from his wrist. That scene sent chills up my spine, in the good sense of the word.
