I think Nick should move on, in some way or form. If Nat's brought across,
where's the romance & tension that was created because & despite their
differences?
I don't think "Forever Knight" should've ended at all. But most
especially it should never have ended the way it was aired. It was an insult
& a slap in the face to all the loyal fans & viewers! I'm very
disappointed, to the point of anger. |

Duh.... Gee, I don't know..... :-)
Obviously I feel that Nat should be brought over. As I see it, the basic stumbling block in Nick & Nat's relationship is Nat's mortality. With Nat as a vampire, they can ... er ... consummate their love, and not have to worry about what anyone else thinks. Although FK doesn't delve too deeply into the problem, the greatest problem facing many scientists with seemingly insoluble research is the knowledge that they have only so long on this earth to find an answer. Nat knows that Nick will act to protect her until she learns to control her vampirism. After that -- she can spend decades, even centuries working on the "cure" for vampirism. She might even come up with certain stop-gap measures, like Hemoglobin patches or SPF 1 Million. As to the who, Nick has obvious problems in this area, and a horrible track record when it comes to bringing people over. I think LaCroix is the best answer. Not because I see any romantic link between them (In fact, just the opposite), but because LaCroix can be trusted to do it right, if he bothers to do it at all. Some 800 years ago, LaCroix brought Nick across, partially as a plaything
for Janette. Now, he might be convinced to bring Nat across as a plaything for
Nick. |

No, I don't think Nat should be brought across. I think that would ruin the
entire concept of FK which is a vampire struggling to be mortal again, so he
can have a mortal life and mortal love. If Natalie weren't mortal, Nick would
have no reason to try to become one. Natalie would also lose the reason she
loves Nick so much which is that he is trying to become mortal again to be with
her and live a normal life. Natalie and Nick should be together, but not as
vampires, either as mortals, or in the afterlife. Nick would never forgive
himself if he brought Natalie across to doom her to the very same existence
from which he's trying to escape. If LaCroix brought her across, then Natalie
would hate him twice as much as she does now, and then Nick would also start to
hate LaCroix. Nick and Nat would lose their magic and LaCroix would have won as
now Nick would never become mortal and would have to live forever a vampire in
order to be with Nat. |
Beverly Turner
I think Nat should be brought across by Lacroix. He doesn't want Nick to die
(life would be no fun without tormenting him) and Nick wants to die without
her. I think for fun he should use Nick's blood instead of his own or both
mixed. He could use one of those needles that Nat seems to keep handy for
experiments on Nick. |
Ken Kapoor
Nah.
(Good answer, Ken! :) |
Jaspal Sunita Kaur
Nat should not be brought across cos she has to be the one reason that Nick
wants to get mortal again for. Janette however should be brought back. |
Sheila Coneybeer
NO!!! It changes the whole dynamics of the show. That Nick is in love with a
mortal woman is too important to the character definition. It is part of what
makes Nick so appealing. He isn't just attracted to vampires, but truly loves
Nat. (Oh mush!!) Their more mature relationship, built on trust and mutual
concern as well as desire is a wonderful counterpoint to the Vetter/Vachon
liaison which is soooo physical, so sexual, sooooo..... Well, it just is.
Bringing Nat across would just be the veriest wrong thing to do. HOWEVER, if
you are talking about the LK ending, the answer is yes and LaCroix. Because
then he would control the very thing Nick wants the most and again LC would be
in charge. (How perfectly evil!) |
Izabela
I think that Natalie should definitely be brought across and it should be by
LaCroix. If LaCroix brings Natalie across it makes the relationship between
Nick and LaCroix even more complex than it already is. Nick would have one more
reason to hate LaCroix, but then on the other hand, LaCroix also would have
made it possible for Nick and Natalie to be together without Nick having to
compromise himself. Nick would never have to feel the guilt or responsibility
of bringing Natalie across yet he gets the benefit of being with Natalie
forever. Nick would now actually have a reason to be grateful to LaCroix -
though he would never admit that to himself. Also, just because Nick has a
moral problem with killing, does that mean Natalie would feel the same way?
After all, they are two distinct personalities and Natalie hasn't been brought
up in the same religious time period Nick was. What if, once brought across,
she found she didn't have the same misgivings as Nick? What if she felt herself
wanting to embrace her new vampiric nature? What would that mean for Nick and
Natalie? Would she continue to help Nick find a cure or would she try to
convince him to abandon his search? It could make Nick's struggle for humanity
even more difficult. He would be much more torn than he is now and it would
definitely raise the stakes (sorry). The storyline possibilities could be
endless (with the right imagination). |
Karen
Well now, to what purpose would bringing Natalie across serve? Certainly not
the main gist of the show in which Nick is looking for a cure. At this point
in his time, Natalie looks like the only one who is even close to this search.
While I have understood the reason behind her wanting to be brought across in
Last Knight, I don't agree with it. I even think that at some point she was
hoping that if he took "just a little at a time", this would effect the same
cure Janette had attained. However, should writers decide to open that door and
search that premise, then by all means, I vote for Nick to bring her across.
Her trust in him would ease the transition and bind the two together even
greater.
A unique twist would be for LaCroix to bring her across, there are numerous
story possibilities here, but Last Knight has been cruel enough, and I for one
would rather it be simple and just let Nick do it right and be the one. |
Sharon Bauman
I agree that if Natalie were brought across, it would change the whole dynamics
of her relationship with Nick. I really liked the Nat/Nick/Janette theme; but
since the writers killed Janette off, Nick has no vampire love in his life. It
would alter Nick and Nat's interaction if she were brought across, but Nick
wouldn't be so lonely and Nat could truly love Nick. (OK, I'm a romantic, too).
As another fan said, Nick doesn't have a good track record bringing people
across, so Lacroix would have to do it, now that the writers have killed off
all the other interesting vampires (in a totally unbelievable way!). It would
have been interesting to have Vachon bring Nat across for Nick. I didn't like
the way the show ended, but the only bright spot is that the writers have left
it vague as to whether Nat and Nick actually died. So there's always the
possibility that Nick didn't screw up, did succeed in bringing Natalie across,
and Lacroix decided he would NOT skewer Nick, per his request. Now the writers
have to find a way to bring Vachon back! |
Nicole Nelson-Hicks
I don't think this will make me very popular but I just never understood the
whole Nick/Nat attraction. I never really saw any great LOVE between them...
just a lot of anguish and angst. I always felt that Nat should've accepted Nick
for what he was (and Nick needed to be slapped around and come to terms with it
too!) or move on. And she became a vampire.... that would've killed the
relationship right there. No more angst! Sick, sick relationship, if you asked
me. But that's just me. I always root for the vampires.
P.S. I have one question concerning all the talk about killing for blood. We
are almost into the 21st century... don't you think vampires would've found
more... suitable.... means to satisfy their needs? Or maybe that would take all
the fun out of it! |
Laura Wiborg
Well my sister and I think that Nat should be brought across because Nick and
her really love each other and if she was brought across her and Nick could
live together forever. And we think that Nick's master should bring her across
I can not remeber his name but if Nick brought her across then it would just
mess up everything they have worked for. Well that is what we have to say By BY. |
E. Albertson
I think that since Nat was dying in the last episode, she should be brought
across. If Nick feels too guilty to do it, LaCroix or Janette should. On the
other hand, it would be cooler if Nick became human, but that would necessarily
end everything. Either keep things as they were, or have Nat be brought across.
Why? BECAUSE, she and Nick are in love, and they should be together sooner or
later. |
Naomi Engle
I would be reluctant to have Nat brought across. Her brother turned into a
monster when he was brought across and maybe the same thing might happen to
Nat. I think it's too big a gamble and may be one of the reasons Nick was so
reluctant to bring her across. |
Carolyn Alutius
Okay, I've thought about this (and read the other answers so far) and it is a
very good question. It seems to me like Natalie would need very little
persuading to be brought across, she has asked to be on more than one
occasion, so I think she'd come to terms with vampirehood more easily than Nick
ever did. In that one episode, Francesca, I think, Nick was explaining to Nat
what drinking blood felt like to vampires, and you could tell by her face that
she was, well, interested, to say the least (Made me want to jump through the
tv screen, but that's another story). However, in the Janette ep. Nick had that
dream that she found the cure, and they were going to have a baby, and he just
looked so happy, it was heartbreaking. So anyway, to answer the question, I
think not, for Nick's sake. I don't think Nick would be happy with her. She is
to him his beacon of light in his darkness, for her to be brought across would
be devastating to him. I really think if Nat had her way, she would become a
vampire, though. |
Gwenn
If the humanity is indeed hopeless for Nick, then Nat be brought across.
LaCroix should bring her across because that way she won't be "related" to Nick
and they can have a more normal relationship. Of course, if Nick brings her
across, there is a lot of information she will never have to communicate to him
but she will have to ask him for personal information. |
Sherry van Swaringen
Nat is a great lady! Not too many people I know would have reacted the way she
did to Nick's being a vampire... and a vampire who asks for her help
nonetheless. But... even though this is the case, I really don't think she's
suited to be a vampire. For one thing, I believe by her nature, she'd turn out
much the way Nick did... feeling guilty. And even if she didn't and she loved
her new found freedom, and killed without thinking a second thought, she and
Nick would be forever seperated. He would have his guilt, and his longing to
become mortal, and she would grow farther and farther away from him, because
she'd have no problem with the vampirism. On the other hand of course... her
becoming a vampire, could make Nick realize that being a vampire isn't so bad.
And, they could fly off into the night... and drink all the blood they want
together. (That would definitly make Lacroix happy, at least the part where
Nick is back to being a vampire again.) But... personally, I don't see that
happening... anyway, it's just an opinion :) |
Kristin Weddum
No. She needs to retain her humanity. I'd like to see more of a focus on
finding a "cure" for Nick though. |
Jennifer
Yes, I think Nat should be brought across, I think it would make her "live"
life to it's fullest. I think that Lacroix should bring her across because she
would only end up hating Nick in the end. I also think that a common bond of
hatered of Lacroix yet loyalty would be a different and interesting to see. But
being a Valetine slightly taints my point of view. I would love to see a love
triangle thing going on with Nat/Nick/LaCroix would be a new twist on the plot
line and seeing Nick get jealous over Nat would be nice to see for a change.
I would have liked to have seen Nat go to LaCroix to have him bring her over
when Nick refused her (you know for the last show) and have get all upset and
leave; which would have left more room for a next season or at least something
else. Anyway, did I mention I was a Valentine? ;) |
Missie
I think Nat should be brought across because her and Nick are both in love with
each other. I think she should be brought across by Lacroix because Nick always
takes too much blood. |
Brian Phillips
Hmmm... well, she really wanted to be brought across. It seemed to me that she was facinated with the thought of being a vampire. But, Nick would not be the one to bring her across. It would be LaCroix, he would do it to force Nick to give up on becoming human again. |
