A mailing list is like a subscription to a magazine, except that the mailing list subscription won't cost you a dime! Moreover, it will even allow you to submit your very own "articles". Try that with a magazine subscription! A mailing list could also be described as a big discussion group where every list member receives everything that's posted to the list by other subscribers, right in his/her own Internet mailbox. Lots of fun for the whole family! :)

To subscribe to any of those lists, send e-mail to [email protected] with the following line in the body of your message:
You can put more than one command in the same message, so you can subscribe to both lists at the same time if you wish to. Simply put each command on its own line. Note that both of these lists can sometimes generate more than 50 messages per day!
Alternatively, if your browser supports forms, you can use the one below to easily subscribe to the mailing lists. Simply select the list you wish to subscribe to, enter your name in the text box and click on the "Subscribe" button. Repeat with the other list if necessary. Be aware that this form may not work with non-Netscape browsers. If you don't receive a confirmation request via e-mail within an hour, you'll have to subscribe manually. Also, you must have configured your browser's mail preferences for this to work. Netscape users will get an harmless out of memory (?!?) error if mail preferences are not configured.

Usenet, often referred to as newsgroups, is a great place to discuss and find information about almost anything you can think of. You can read messages that are already there, or post your own and come back later to see if someone has answered it. There are currently four Forever Knight newsgroups that I know of on Usenet:
In order to access Usenet, you will need a Web Browser capable of reading newsgroups (Netscape Navigator 2.x or better will do a decent job), or you can use a stand-alone news reader such as Forté's Free Agent for Windows 3.1 or Windows 95. Please note that not all newsgroups are available everywhere, so you may not be able to access one or more of these newsgroups.
Internet Relay Chat, or IRC for short, allows you to "talk" to other people in real-time. Simply join an IRC channel, type something, and in seconds, everyone on that channel will see what you just typed! It's like talking on the phone, except that you can talk to dozens of persons at the same time, all from your keyboard, and without the long distance charges!
Forever Knight's IRC channel is #foreverknight. This channel is available on EFNet, Undernet and DalNet. EFNet is usually the most frequented one.
If you don't have an IRC program, you can download Pirch, the best IRC client software available on the net. In my opinion, it even puts mIRC (one of the most popular IRC programs) to shame! The program is available for both Windows 3.1 and Windows 95.
There are a lot of pages dedicated to Forever Knight here on the web. You can find many of them by conducting a search using one of the many search engines available on the web. A great page for that is Search.com, which gives you access to some of the most popular search engines, all from one easy to use page. Simply search for the words "Forever Knight" and you're off!
Alternatively, you can take a look at my Forever Links page for a few cool places to visit.
