I recently stumbled upon an ad for a company that claimed that I could actually get paid to surf the web. Intrigued, I
clicked on the banner to get more details on how the system works. It turned out to be quite simple. You have to download
and use a free software program that displays ads on a small portion of your screen. Advertisers pay the company to have
their ads appear on your screen and the company then shares a part of its advertising revenue with the users of its
software, according of course to the number of hours you have been looking (or not :)) at the ads. Since the day I first saw that ad, I have found a few companies offering such programs. In most cases, they claim to pay their users between 40 cents and 60 cents per hour. But what's really interesting is that if you refer someone you know to the program, you also get paid for every hour that this person spends on the net! Of course, you don't get paid as much (10 cents to 20 cents per hour in most cases.) But that's not all! If the people you refer also get some of their friends on the program, you get paid for their time too, and so on for four to six levels, depending on which company you choose. The larger your downline, the bigger your monthly paycheck can be! I even found a few programs that do their advertising via e-mail instead of displaying ads on your screen.
This might look like the infamous pyramid scheme at first, but believe me, it's not. You don't even have to pay to enroll in these programs since the companies get their money from the advertisers. Now don't get all excited over this. :) Some of these programs look very promissing indeed, but I doubt you can bid farewell to your job tomorrow. I have just recently begun using them and thus, I have no idea how well most of them work. I have subscribed to all of them (yes, you can use more than one simultaneously) and will see which one(s) I will ultimately continue to use. If I choose not to use one of the programs to which I have subscribed, I will simply stop using it. It's as simple as that. If you choose to subscribe to one of these programs, please use the links on this page so that you are correctly assigned as one of my referals. And remember: for this to be profitable to you, you must tell your friends and have them subscribe to the programs too. Good luck!

GoToWorldDescription:This one is also very interesting. Unlike most other programs that only display banners on your screen, GoToWorld is also a full featured web browser! This is kind of like Microsoft Internet Explorer in disguise. In fact, Internet Explorer 4.0 or above is required for GoToWorld to run. While you use the browser, a floating window displays the ads. If you don't want to use the browser, you can choose to display only the ads. As long as there is some activity in the browser, you will get paid for your time. If there is no activity for more than five minutes, the program will tell you that it has stopped counting your time. The GoToWorld browser is available now. In fact, I've been using it for a few weeks and find it to be quite usable. You can download it immediatly after subscribing and start making money right away!

DesktopDollarsDescription:This program is available now. The current version of the program can not be moved on your screen if it's in the way, but DesktopDollars says that a new version will fix that problem very soon. As a matter of fact, it may already have been fixed since I don't update this page every day. The version I looked at also required me to login every time I launched the program. This is a minor annoyance, but you might as well know before registering.

UtopiADDescription:Yet another banner program. From what I've seen, the program looks very interesting and the payment method is different from the other programs. The CashBar (the company's software) does not appear to be very cumbersome either. Advertisements are sent to your screen based on the demographic information you provide.
